The Stark United Methodist Church raises money for a cure for cancer through its participation in Relay for Life.  We have several fund raisers going on throughout the year.  All proceeds are donated to Relay for Life.:

1.  Cans For Cancer:  We collect aluminum cans at a central location in town, or will come and pick up cans or other recycable metal at your location. 

2.  Traveling Flamingos:  For a donation of $20.00 you can send a flock of flamingos to stand in the yard of your neighbor for three days (or more).  You can also buy "insurance" to keep them away from your yard for the same amount.  If you want to "flamingo" someone who lives out of town, just let us know and they will receive a Flamingo Card noting their donation in your honor.

3.  Winter Polar Fleece Scarfs:  Polar fleece scarfs, both hooded and straight are available in a variety of colors.  Straight scarfs are suitable for men and boys and are $10.00.  Hoodeds scarfs are great foe women and girls and are $15.00.

4.  Purses:  A variety of purses are available for women, cell phones and change purses.  They range in price from $5.00 - $30.00 and can even be custom made to order.

5.  Knitted Wash Clothes:  Hand knitted cotten wash clothes are made in several colors and themes -- baby, animal, flowers and plain.  These make wonderful gifts and come in a set of four at $10.00 a set.  If you've never used one of these wash clothes, you're in for a real treat!
